Privacy policy

What we collect

• Birth details you enter for a kundli: name, gender, date, time and place of birth. The same for a partner when you use Kundli Milan.
• Your email address, when you sign in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Your questions and Taaraji's answers in chat, and the reports you buy.
• Payment records: what you bought, the amount and the status. Card and UPI details go straight to Dodo Payments; we never see or store them.
• Technical data: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop abuse, the link or ad that first brought you to Taaraji, and the cookies described in our cookie policy.
• Usage data: which pages you open and what you do on the site (for example making a kundli, asking a question, paying). If you accept analytics cookies, this is linked to your account. If you don't, we count it anonymously, without cookies or any identifier stored on your device.

We do not ask for your phone number, Aadhaar or any ID document.

How readings and reports are written

Kundli calculations are made by an astrology calculation service from your birth date, time and place.

Chat answers and written reports are generated by artificial intelligence (AI). Taaraji is an AI astrologer, not a person. To write an answer, we send the AI provider the details of your kundli, your name, and your conversation. It sends the text back to us.

We use Anthropic's Claude models through their commercial API. Under their commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

Messages that suggest someone is in danger are not sent for an astrology reading. We show helpline numbers instead.

Why we use it

• To make your kundli, answer your questions and write the reports you buy.
• To run your account and credits: sign-in codes, balance, receipts and support.
• To send emails you need, like sign-in codes and "your report is ready". We don't send marketing emails without asking you first.
• To keep the service safe: limits per person and device, and blocking automated abuse.
• To understand how Taaraji is used and which of our ads work, so we can improve the service and spend less on advertising.

Under data protection law, we rely on our contract with you to provide the service, on our legitimate interests for security and anonymous usage counts, on your consent for analytics cookies, and on legal obligations for tax records.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show advertising inside Taaraji.

Who helps us

We share data only with providers that need it to run the service, and only what each one needs:

Some of these providers process data outside India and Moldova, including in the United States. We also disclose data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Kundlis, chats and reports: while your account exists, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Payment records: as long as tax law requires.
• Server logs: for short periods, to fix problems and stop abuse.
• Activity records (what was done and when, without your questions or birth details): up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it with your account. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you can name someone to act for you. Write to us from the email on your account and we act within 30 days.

If we can't resolve a complaint, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India or Moldova's National Center for Personal Data Protection.

Security and age

Connections to Taaraji are encrypted. Only the people who run the service can reach the database, and sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords.

Taaraji is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. For important changes we also tell you by email or on the site.

Contact and grievances

Write to us at contact@taaraji.com. We reply within one working day.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can write to our Grievance Officer, Taaraji at the same address. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
